Love the designs. I wish u separated the hanging guys though. They are overlapping and sharing same spaces, but I think u knew that.
and the silhouette/clarity is lost between the batman like guy and the fish guy.

  • I will say.. he can be frightening, but shouldn’t look intentionally frightening like a maniac...
for example, I can say the reference images all can be a zombie’s expression, but not yours...which is too self-conscious.
    hope that makes sense..

Although I think I know what u guys mean, I don’t mind one member plugging away even with old drawings...
because what I don’t like the most is the forum being too quite. I love studying Smitty’s crits, and learn so much.. without posts, we don’t get that.
but at the same time Smitty...

Also, your cars are not perspectively correct. If you see the photo, you can see the rear wheels are positioned lower because the horizon line is above the wheels/ground touching points.
Yours are level, indicating the horizon line is right on that wheels/ground touching points, which doesn't...

I guess it's not the continuous scenes because I don't see the pointing finger man in the wide shot. You should consider flipping the last panel....

Was the girl facing left in the film? Crossing 180 line does occur a lot in films but it seems a bit too confusing to cross the line in this case

Wonder if you used a doll for your warrior pose. Mistakes I made too before. because dolls' joints rotate so much beyond human limits

I'm compelled to give these notes, only because these are exactly the same mistakes I kept making. And I keep all kinds of notes to my own drawings/mistakes
    Here it goes.

I tried to fix the torso construction first, then fixed the rest based on that new torso.
    And you cannot...

That sure looks like a hero. Since u asked, some construction issue on the rip cage ..I will see if I can explain better with a visual. His right leg should be longer because of perspective.

Hey Cubo. Hope u don’t mind. But when I first saw this art, I thought it had a lot of great things going on.
And I got everything Smiity mentioned except the one about the glove’s curve. I felt the arm was bent and foreshortened and the curve was right even if horizon is above. So I drew it...

I made this before Smitty posted. Now I'm a bit too shy to post, but comparing Smitty's effortless drawing with my lame ones helps myself see things too. So, here it goes for what it's worth...

I still standby that ER's left arm/hand is uncomfortable looking, and it falls into the category...

Oh man, I knew Franklin Booth's work. But other masters mentioned here are golden too. I especially love Wrightson's.

And anyone and everyone who sees Smitty's post about "Rendering in Pen and Ink" should get it already!!!!...

His left hand and I mean to rotate to the opposite direction you are thinking, so his palm is inward. If you search for Smitty’s posts, there are so many.
I will try overlay for the proportion over the weekend if u don’t mind.

Yeah the torso length isn’t too bad. I think it’s the non hero like bulk of the torso. But the major issue is the limbs. You may want to rotate his left hand inward too.
why don’t you attach extra paper rather than shrinking. That’s what many pros do for their roughs.

Love this one. Love depth, love poses & composition. Although you may have many years of hard work ahead to become a pro level (just like myself or most of us), I love seeing your improvements through your posts. Keep it up sir.
for one crit... and it’s very common mistake(again, myself...

You will see your last drawing will immensely improve if you try making his legs a lot longer. Especially the lower legs. All your body parts including torso are mostly too short (compared to the head size), but the legs are the shortest.
