I like it, but that's my sort of look – I'm with you on not being a fan of modern colouring. Works for your art too. I'm also colourblind, and also hate colouring. Did you know that Mike Allred's colourblind? Kinda handy he married a colourist ;-)

Yeah, not dropping the link in just felt like trolling us....

Spoiler. They're not all traditional. Amazing what you can do with a computer these days....

I know that's rhetorical, but the real answer is that tech is a killer keyword for fake phone sales spam....

The topics keep coming! Love me some goon.
While I find some time to put something together, here's one from Pummel in 2016.

crazyjedichicken In terms of rendering backgrounds (I'll leave figures and storytelling to one side as you didn't mention them specifically), I think you're going in the right direction, but you could do with being a bit stronger in terms of light and shade, and maybe texture, and dial down some of...

Zebra are where it's at for brush pens, though from what I understand Tombow are just as good.

Something like that. It's a great mythos, really worth reading the main run. I was a fan of The Dreaming too, but it's not for everyone....

Long time since I read 100 Bullets, mustn't even have been finished when I read the first few trades back in 2005ish. This is apparently Milo Garrett, I have no memory, but it's a cool visual.

Great piece! Love the vibrant colours over the pencils, it's cool.

Very cool, I thought I was the last generation of designer to create stuff for two colour presses. It was my favourite part of the job, seeing if I could break a piece down into two colours, with a good overprint, maybe mixing in a special ink there. Then check if the printer had any primo paper stock...

And to piggy back off that, anyone seen this? Not actual transformers, but super awesome.

Haha, love these, here's mine. Probably won't get around to colouring it as I want to crack on with pummel, but we'll see.
Edit: Obviously found the time...

That one was fun – Sook puts so many nice details in there, even though it's just a rough sketch. Didn't want to just throw my normal hasty lines at it so dug out the quill and brush. Was tempted to try doing an Adam Hughes big dead line around it, and there's a Mignola thing going on with the mask...

Ooh, fun, I really like that. Going to be hard to improve on the ridiculousness of AIM, but I shall try my best....

The style is very unusual. How are you creating these pieces? Would be easier to feed back knowing how you were going about putting them together.
Also, very hard to crit sequentials without a script....
