I got a vote from Spider! I'll take that ;-D Just glad to be back in the ring, I'll bring a finished piece next time!...

Skull for the work involved, but there's something I really like about Pell's duck – he's got some serious personality.

Love em. Giving it to Maul as I'm more of an Evil Dead guy than an Army of Darkness guy, but I like both pieces.

In fact, it's so good, if anyone wants a cleaned up copy to print, grab it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CLp...ew?usp=sharing

Thanks all! I knew the middle was a bit Reed Richards, but I don't think I'd clocked that it was far too long as well as bendy. I was more focussed on keeping it supple than accurate. Thanks for the wrist stuff as well Smitty , that right wrist is especially egregious – can't get my own hand even...

Bridgman is good – I don't think he hits all the fundamentals as well as Loomis, but that's still a great book. I think I read that Bridgman was one of Loomis teachers, so his stuff was presumably built on by Loomis when he tackled his first book.

My personal answer is "I haven't yet". But from my experience of trying to learn, there has to be an element of being able to see the pose in your head – visualising generally what you want the person to be doing. ie, person leaning against a lamp-post from a low front angle, or "A...

Gah, sorry, hate turning up with excuses, but I started this super early, found out after I'd pencilled it that my scanner doesn't work any more (operating systems have apparently outstripped driver development for my old A3 beast) so ordered a new Canon scanner that day (the 12th). But thank to Brexit,...

I know it's super late and super rough, but I miss WSG so attempted a riff on the classic Vision pose in front of episode 3.

This is probably in the wrong place – better off on the Bulletin board.
You might want to clarify what you want the partner for – sounds like you're covering writing and art? Or are you after a scripter? Colourist? Letterer? Or just a private investor?

Nightcrawler sketch/pose
Super rough, but I'm trying to force myself to push poses in more dynamic directions. I know he's gone all bendy around the middle, but I was pleased to break away from my usual stiffness.

Thanks, that tablet looks very affordable – do you find the size big enough? I worry that it might be a bit small?
And presumably it doesn't do anything on its own – it has to be connected to a computer?
Edit: Oh wow, so Clip Studio is actually Manga Studio! Glad they got...

No crits, just wow, you've not wasted the last few years! What have you found best for improvement (apart from daily drawing). Did you do any courses, follow any structured learning?...

So what's this done on? I'm a bit of of date with digital – I've got my Intuos Pro and Mac, but don't love the disconnect between screen and pen – I can work on it, but for sketching prefer the immediacy of paper. Is this just a Wacom tablet and a screen recording, or is it this Procreate I keep...

I will do, I put this topic forward as I really want a crack at it – I've got to finish this months pummel (once my new scanner arrives), put together a two page strip for a magazine, and then I've got a half finished Wolverine I'd like to tidy up. Then. Then I shall get my Necronomicon on....

Aw, but remember what it's like to start at that age – you want to crack on and get stuck in with some tools. It's very disheartening just having to do gesture drawings in pencil, even if it's the right thing to do!...

Me too, I'm gutted I didn't get any time to put something together for this one....
