This is my latest draft of the comic I've been working on since early highschool.

i only just started the second chapter, but i think any changes i make will stay on this link. the second link below is cliffnotes for the next few whatevers, all i can hope for on that is whether the overall events feel overwhelming or too cluttered.

You'll notice it looks like garbage. This is because I'm a one-man army who can decode my own thoughts. I've also restarted so many times that I lost the patience to follow any kind of formatting.
I might clean it up and edit this post as I go, but if anyone wants to skim over this I'll take any advice you think you can give.

Heading straight to finished pages is a great way to improve just about every aspect of my craft. But I think I eventually want to publish this, so I want to start putting more effort in before I draw 100 more pages of nonsense.

I have plenty of speculation on my own process to ramble about, but I'm still figuring out how a forum works. Heh.

Howdy! I was going to suggest making some points more clear such as what exactly Varen is doing to the demon wolf (is he just looking at it? Is there Superman-type eye laser beams? Is he doing something non-eye related while looking at the beast?) but it sounds like you might be doing the artwork yourself, so you don't need to be specific so long as you know what you mean there.

it is a sort of magical paralysis, but it's pretty easy to find faults in my writing when i ask myself the right questions. i ought to make note to figure out its limitations.

I suggest checking out https://storygrid.com/articles/ for some help with self-editing. They analyze masterworks of different genres and break them down into the obligatory scenes that make the story work. I'm just starting with this myself, but I will take some time and try to read your script.
