  • A Wizard and his Dragon

    I'm starting to color this. Here's the first stage laying down blocks of color to separate the figures.

    I'm not making final color choices at this point.

      Is there going to be some other element with them in the circle? Right now there seems to be a space for something that is throwing off tbe balance of the composition for me.

        In my opinion you should add a fair amount of blue.

          @CrazyDiamond - Yes I've been feeling that. At some point this does need blue.

          @sirandal - There is another element that's not drawn yet. That should balance it when I get to it. Good eye!

          @Bryan E.Warner - Thanks. The next pass should have even more details.

          Thanks for the comments.

          This pass has some build up on the figures. I'm still deciding how to approach the wing flaps. That's why that are just flat for now.

              No more buying paint.
              No waiting for the oil paint to dry.

                  After you make a print you treat it just like any other piece of art.

                  Check out this art festival I attended.

                  All the art is digital and created on an iPad or camera phone.

                  I hope this inspires you.

                    Almost done. There are some details I want to add. And I may redo some things. I just need to step back from it for awhile.

                        Really nice work. I love all the texture-treatments, and the scales on the dragon's front really catch my eye!

                          @Bryan The same question was asked when photography first came along in relation to painting. Well we see how that turned out.

                          @yomark Thank you.
