Your art is very skilled. I like the perspective, tones and figure consistancy.
Beware of the lettering.
Some of the balloons are cramped and the lettering is unevenly spaced.
Will Eisner talked about thinking about the balloons within the composition.
And there is a saying going around that basically says good lettering on bad art is better than bad lettering on good art.
I’m not saying the lettering is bad, the font and shapes are pleasing, but the way the balloons are placed in some of the panels, and the way the lettering is stacked in the panels could be a bit more carefully done.
I thin Nate Piekos from Blambot.com/ letterer for Umbrella Academy/ had some tip pics that showed up on pinterest about
MAKING SURE
THE LETTERING IS
STACKED IN MORE OF
A DIAMOND SHAPE.
Some of those wood flooring pieces change in width as it goes towards the vanishing points, but I find the art to be quite impressive. Great figure consistency, shot compositions and shot variety.
I think if i was more comfortable hyphenating the longer words, it would be easier to acheive that shape. I might start doing that more consciously. I guess some of those balloons could be a bit bigger hunh. Thanks.
