      Day fifty-six: the Hoosier Morons

Characters based on my old Kokomo friends I drew webcomics about for awhile. I don't see these guys much these days, but they'll always be morons to me.

            Day sixty: Seto Gesshuko

This is a drawing of a king of the SCA Middle Kingdom. As such, I signed and dated in persona (Gerard Martel, year 54)

I didn't have a lot of reference of his helm, so I pray he grants me some grace there. I also took some creative liberty in my assumptions of the armor, opting for something reminiscent of a samurai of old. Many pieces of the design are taken from historic armor and samples, I imagine the shogun may have looked similar to this perhaps...?

When drawing this, how did you determine what areas are shaded, and what areas reflect light? Did you work from a photograph, or did you use your imagination? It came out great.
The biggest mistake people make in life is not trying to make a living at doing what they most enjoy.

It was from my head, so thanks!

Per request of my girlfriend, I drew our unborn son with a Superman onesie.
