    Throw in some broken lines, like those you use in the interior brim of the white hat. Drawing every line of every slat creates a wallpaper look. Drawing the suggestion of it, a few broken lines here and there, will give a more illustrated, less cartoony, feel.

    Unless this is a night scene with interior light flooding into a dark street we won't see into the bar this way. Inside the door will be heavily shadowed. Inside the windows will only show things within a foot or two of the glass before going to black.
    HI Smitty, thank you so much for the advice. I will keep it in mind.
    all these are done digitally, so sometimes when I want to speed things up, I use the shift key too much. I'll mix it up next time.
