Argh, this infuriates me. They added "unofficial" to the word balloons after I handed it in but I guess they didn't have the same font on hand so they completely redid the text in the balloons and committed one of the biggest sins in comic book lettering. Those poor poor 'I's. And it's not even consistent either. Upon seeing that I redid it and sent it in but it's too late. Already at the printers... Sigh. Anyway, you can now see who's writing the foreword and afterword. Pretty cool gets.

Well the art looks great and the project seems cool. Unfortunately I think having people do stupid things with the work you turn over is a defining aspect of being an illustrator.

So dumb. More info if not familiar with the term "best girl." I've never seen the anime the character I choose is from, but I have seen her referenced more than any other as "best girl." But I'm stuck on the right wording.

Originally I had Nightwing saying "exploits" rather than "cases" and Batman's answer being "That's from the time I learned (or discovered or realized) Rem is best girl" but that felt odd.

So I changed "exploits" to "cases" and now I prefer Batman's response but "cases" doesn't really feel right in the first balloon. Sure Batman solves cases, but would that be the correct word overall for all he does? Probably not. Ugh, I feel like I'm putting way too much thought into something this stupid.

And FYI, there are now a lot of broken image links in past posts since I now have contracts for those caricature covers which say not to post anything from them until after the books are out. Working on an Indiana Jones one right now and sadly can't share anything for a while.

That strip works for me. I get it no problem. Would be nice, IMO, if Bats was tearing up a little in that last panel.
