[Beastie]

I've being sketching today and thought I'd start a blog.....

All comments are more than welcome.

I'm thinking of drawing a number of individual hero pics and then photoshopping them all together into a team pic. These first few pics were part of that idea....

I did the wolvie pic first --- and really liked it to begin with -- but now I think it sucks a bit. I wanted to give him the body shape of a 50's/60's wrestler - but his lower torso and legs are a bit crap.

I much prefer the She Hulk and Dr Strange pics -- and my subsequent sketches are gonne go in a direction closer to those two images.....

Oh, and I did this yesterday too. Its a pic of a tool I used to work with.

I dunno -- I thought that Wolverine sketch was pretty cool. It looks very natural and unstylized, sorta' what I imagine a 5'2" Wolverine might look like in real life as opposed to 6"4"" (or whatever) Hugh Jackman.

Hmmm. It might just be his right leg (the leg to OUR left) that sucks. Its definitely 'wrong' in some way. I'll have to re-draw.

I think the upper shadow area on the right leg near the hip makes it look a bit flat -- if you want to get technical. But still, there's nothing really wrong with it per se that couldn't be chaulked up to a style choice. The drawing just has alot of character which I like.

Nice. When I first saw the Wolverine sketch I thought "Harley Race" which made me feel good when you mentioned 50's-60's wrestlers. When I saw the cartoon I thought it resembled my brother-in-law (whose also from England). You got the limbs too skinny on that one :P I'm assuming these were colored on the computer?

Yeah, I only threw on a bit of colour to show where I was planning to go with them. The final versions will look massively different - I hope.......
