just some 5 minute sketches i did after reading a few comments on the importance of them from a lot of guys whose art i respect a lot! namely inkthinker! this board always inspires me to draw!
i recently bought some comic artboards (up till now i've only been using a4 paper!) in order to shock myself into drawing bigger pieces, finishing them and adding a background, heres my results so far!
this is just some quick pen lines thrown over very rough pencils in order to pick out the lines i want before moving on to the final pencils!
as always cheers for looking and anything you like or hate or that just looks wrong! give us a post! cheers!
so, as i've already said, i bought some comic art boards in order to do some "proper" art for a change and one of the first i'm going to attempt is colossus! my fav character ever but this is the first time i've attempted to draw the details on his skin! allows went the ultimate xmen way and left it plain out of laziness!
tried my hand at the rendering on this, already had my girlfriend point out that his left leg (our right) looks wrong so might change that! any other thoughts would be appreciated!
Like I said in my artblog (but thought I should throw it out here too)...nice work! Very energetic, especially in your early sketch stages!! Keep up the great work.
