This was originally for a Darkstalkers contest in the proving grounds a few weeks ago but I missed the deadline. So I just took my time with the linework and now I'm posting it for critiques and comments. It's been a while since I've posted anything art related so go and tell me whatever......

I love it.... love the weight and solidity... it sits good on the page...

Maybe could stylize that sword hilt a bit?
The sword hilt, hair and moon crescent are weak additions to a strong piece and need some beefing up maybe....

Thanks for the crits guys. I just wish i had more people comment on it though. As far as the sword hilt I didn't want to overdo it so I just stayed with the original design as closely as possible. The horse hair adornment on the top of the helmet isn't meant to be drawn with heavy lines since the overall piece is so open, I was gonna try to color it in Gimp or Photoshop. I've never attempted to do anything on that scale before and if there's anyone that wants to attempt to color it then they're more than welcome to. Just make sure to note me on the art credits when you finish it....

I love the lack of shading, great job showing dimension without filling the picture full of black, this would be great to color.

I'd have to say a big influence on that would be John Romita Jr.'s work He has simplistic yet strong linework that baffles me! But I love it.....
