3 illustrations on the theme of 'Worst 1st Dates'......
ArmstrongArts: In these 3 pics - they're bad dates for the girls. That said, the girls in the last pic are so 'vile' that it couldn't be too enjoyable for the guys either....
Jaguar Wong: No, thats not a bolt. Its the neck of the bottle being held by the guy in the background. It just happened to appear there -- in a bolt-like fashion
Dri: I DEFINITELY intend to mock. 95% of the population is horrific - and I like to show that
To offer one minor crit on the second illustration: Even though the guy's feet cross each and the girl's feet are somewhat apart, from a design standpoint, it might be a little better if both the guy and girl's feet didn't mirror each other so much. Both seem to have feet pointing in exactly the same directions, which is a little odd. It's a minor thing to point out for sure, but it's something worth consider and think about for the future perhaps.
Also regarding the third illo: If the television is casting enough light to give the beer bottles on the floor such long shadows, you might want to consider having the couch cast a bit more shadow on the floor towards the right of the couch, etc. I do understand that objects closer to the television would have the longest shadows, but a little more shadow stretching outward to the right of the drawing might add a little extra credibility and consistency. Another minor crit. It's really difficult to offer you anything in the way of a major criticism, Dean. Heh.
I'm really liking the flesh tones a lot. Looks like you've really figured out the right balance of blush, etc.
man, that girl on the right on the bed looks depressed as hell. the more i look at her the more i see her as an old lady whos wondering "what am i doing here?"
