Good job for a guy who doesn't draw females too often.

Her arms could be longer though and you could work on her hair a bit more. Those're my only crits. I like this!

The proportions look off. Almost as if the torso as a whole is too wide. The arms, legs, head, and hair look spot on though.

You're probably not going to like hearing this at this stage, but the head is a bit small. I would also make the crotch area a little more V shaped, and a little less U shaped, but it might be the shading on her stomach right below the shash that's throwing me off. Be side that, I dig it, it's a good image.

thanks guys. i checked the proportion of her head, her body is about 7 1/2 heads tall. i tried thinning the torso slightly, but its probably not that noticeable :/.

her crotch seems a bit low down and the right (my right) thigh kind of looks like theres some sort of tumor on it. And the head is a bit small. specially with that neck.

                  Eric,

I think the anatomy is well drawn as individual parts go, but I agree with the others about the proportions of the figure. Even though you have tweaked things, things are still off quite a bit. The head is too small, and her neck is too thick. Her shoulders are too wide, as is her torso. You need to be careful with things like that on a female figure because wide shoulders and a thick torso are perceived masculine characteristics. When you combine those things with the squared cheekbones and chin, the figure begins to lose femininity, and things begin to look awkward.

I worked up a Photoshop visual for you, altering the size of her head, width of her shoulders and torso, etc. I hope it will help you figure out where the proportions are off. And don't be discouraged about difficulty with proportions. You'll get it all sorted out eventually. Anyway, hope this helps:

I forgot to mention just how much I like the inking on this piece! Very clean and tight! What tools did you use? Digital?

You did pretty well with the digital inks, man. Ever use Manga studio?
