Nightcrawler

[A.D.R.I.A.N.]

This is a nightcrawler I orignally did a couple of years ago for a daily sketch exercise. Last year i came across the original sketch and decided to finish it. This is the result.

This is super cool. But then I scrolled down and noticed your signature butts right up against his left thumb, and that bothers me. LOL Nitpickiness aside, I think this is a good-looking, stylized piece.

That's a really nice drawing but if you want it to be a nice drawing of Nightcrawler you need to bury the face in shadow. We should see little more of the face than we see of his left elbow and hip.

That IS a pretty nice interpretation of Kurt Wagner. He looks appropriately mutated to be and do what he does. I do tend to agree with PMS that having his face more in shadow would be better (would also really bring out those yellow eyes of his). Only part I'm not crazy about is the tail; at first I thought it was one of the hoops you frequently see him on in the Danger Room; seems a little TOO long and perfectly circular. Might look better shorter and with a kink or twist in it, kinda like an old-fashioned phone cord only not quite as extreme.

Having his tail as an homage to the Byrne days; nice way to make that tail work! Big ol' kudos, then!
