    The color takes away the contrast created to help the figure stand out. White street with dark figure. Add the dark blue and the figure disappears. I would lighten the blue considerably and add some stars. Also the lamp light wouldn't be diffused on a rain slick street.

      Just coloring someone's art does not make it a homage.

      This is too dark and obscuring the drawing. You need to change the values and saturation to help isolate and distinguish objects and to separate the foreground, middle ground and background to help the sense of depth.

        I feel like the light that the lightposts are shining on the ground, if I were to draw a line around them, would be a flat circle facing the viewer instead of an oval. The light on the ground doesn't conform to the perspective of the shot, imo.
