Again the fore arms seem a little long on both figures but this is a really nice piece! the inks and colours are absolutely gorgeous! You always do great expressions and hair!
Hey thanks shaw, jedichicken yea now I can kind of see the arms are a little too long. I feel like my colouring is getting a bit better but is still very basic. There's a lot of techniques I need to learn. I'm trying to figure out how some colourists change the colour of the line art, for example the line art on just the hair could turn to red. Also how to use gradients properly. All the colour here is also done on one layer, I don't think people colour that way normally but I find it easier to match up colours that way.
I love the background and that the transition isn't that gradual, you can kind of see it. But I would add that transition to the middle section as well (where the hands touch) just to keep the flow. Actually, now that I took a closer look, I think you could mix the colours to form some shade of green. It'll emphasise the meaning of the panel.
I also like the colour scheme you went for. It kinda has a vintage feel to it, not quite like the game but I love the end result.
