Silver surfers trail could use a little gradient for depth.

I think you are trying to tilt his head towards the viewer? It's coming across as squished and neckless. His eyes are also far apart.

      Overall it's a good piece.

silver surfer's trail on the opposite side of the moon would no be visible because it is only slightly larger than the size of his board and it is too far away. also, he would be travelling near light speed to go that far and leave a trail.

        but, it looks pretty cool.

The landscape orientation of the page feels wrong to me. There's a lot of dead space going on - and the width seems to sap the energy from the piece.

Changing it to portrait makes the whole thing stronger, imo.

I think moving the planet up a bit (whilst still leaving room above in the image) helps is breathe too.

Yeah, that might be another thing about the landscape layout. There's too much width - but, height-wise, you've cramped that planet in there so that it's practically touching the top edge/border of the image. It makes it feel uncomfortable.

Looking at it in portrait format makes it feel far more balanced, to my eye....

              Thanks, everybody.

You're right Beastie, portrait format does make the composition work better. I'll make some adjustments.

And I'll work on making him look a little less neckless.

Try pushing the planet back further...right now it looks like a big ball he's carrying.

Nice rendering and colors. You might have two horizon lines in the piece, one at galactus feet, acording to the buildings, and another at his waist, more of a worm´s eye view on galactus would look great. The surfer seems uneasy on the board.

Surfer great idea but Josem has the right idea with the Surfer looking uneasy on the board. Now that could be because of the no details to make out how the Surfer is actually positioned on the board. It looks like he is unstable on the board.

Thanks. I already redid the surfer to look a little more natural on his board.

PUMMEL deadline is the 25th. That's when the voting poll will be posted with the finals.

I've never participated in Pummel, so I'm not sure which forum to look in for that
