It's actually ball point pen. Crap, I hope that doesn't disappoint him. I just feel more comfortable using them since, once dry, they don't smear and I can get cleaner lines.

Oh heck yeah. I had to do a pretty much complete pencil drawing first. I don't trust myself to do something like this completely in pen from scratch. As you can see, I had to make some modifications. Mostly the left arm.
