I like the concept, colors and the layout of this one man.
I do have some critical points though...
My main critique would be that he face of the female wizard looks much more like a man than a woman. The features are a bit too chiseled and the hairline seems more like an older man's than a woman's hairline. I also think that you could use the hair to indicate a little more motion by giving it a more whispy shape, which might also help with the femininity. I also think that there could be more of an indicator of power coming from her. Right now there's not really any indication of her being a wizard right off the bat. As it stands right now she could be a slave girl being carted off by some orcs. If you could make some of that blue energy that's coming from the eyes of the orcs also come from her eyes and finger tips. It would help sell it more.
Still a piece that would be very difficult to beat as it is. But if you worked on those areas I think you'd have another home run.
See my work on Game of Thrones seasons two, three and four blurays DeviantArt
Fantastic piece and ditto to dfbovey, I would add that the graying on the lower half of her face gives her a very 5 o'clock shadow feel. You should add a bit of saturation to the whole piece would make it feel more urgent. Right now the color intensity doesnt match the very intense scene of a half dozen mind possessed orc barreling your way kind of intense. Last of all the green parts of the orc could use some harder cuts and more contrast.
With that said great faces on the orcs and the womans pose is very classic. The triangle composition does a great job of returning you to the sorceress since she is the focus of the piece. Good job on the atmospheric perspective as well.
I would piddle myself if I had to battle this.
Great work

Never argue with an Idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with exp.
First of all, this is a sweet piece.
But the couple of things I would like to see:
The blue on her arms connects her to the orc guys' eyes, but some blue near her face would help solidify that connection. If you didn't want to do her eyes too, you could do a spot on her forehead, or make the lowest part of her headgear thing that hangs down glow blue a little.
I really want to know where they are. The BG doesn't even give a hint as to where they are. Just a little something might help, some rocks, an arch way, some trees. Even if they were fogged over. You don't want to distract from what's there, but right now they seem to be in a place where there's nothing.
The face isn't the prettiest, but should it be? She's obviously not the good witch of the west if she's hanging with orc guys. So I don't feel like that's too big an issue, but her ear looks a little low and maybe a little small.
I had to finish this up a little quickly cause I've got another piece that has to be finished by the end of the month. I definitely do some tweaking on this especially in her face. Great suggestions so far! Thanks.
Jugga -I've seen your work. I don't perdict a blowout at all.
This might just be personal preference but I wouldn't mind seeing the edges a little sharper in places.
It seems to get hazy at points and almost feels unfinished.
Again, I know it's probably more to do with individual taste but those are my two cents.
I'm with Cody on this one. I think a few, and I mean just a few well placed hard edges could add a lot of extra polish. Her hair in particular could use it. This is looking pretty cool though.
Also the size of the weapons. They are all relatively the same dimensions. And none look battle tested. A bit more wear and tear and some size variation would help.
