Working on illustrating a short story book about vampires, werewolves, etc. Here's the first piece!

Great sense of mood and really sets up for a story to be told. I would have pushed the horse a bit further up from the cart and shown just a sliver of the rear flank. and maybe some menacing clouds to break up the sky.

    Looks great tho

yeah, Toddoss is right about the horse... the rear end look like it would be in the carriage. Illustration looks good though, nice atmosphere.

your lighting and tones are superb. great atmosphere and mood. i'm curious about the medium, it almost looks like a charcoal drawing.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that. As for the medium, inks were done on Manga Studio and greys on Painter, using the scratchboard tool and some chalk brush for the rocky textures. Oh, and I also added a canvas effect on Photoshop after the piece was finished.

Great moody atmosphere to the piece, Juan-O. I wouldn't mind seeing some greater detail on what I think are trees on the hill-tops, just to separate them a bit from the hills themselves.
