Catwoman and Red Sonja Prints

Hey long time no see. I wish I could put up pages of the stuff that is currently stealing me away from being on the site tat much anymore, However, I did go to a quick 2 day convention in St. Louis couple weekends ago and I did two prints that did fairly well. So here they are. I had a lot of fun coloring these since I really havent had the opportunity to color any of my work in the past few weeks. Also the red sonja which is second doesnt have nipples or any other private areas showing or ludeness, with that said its Red Sonja and for those at work keep that in mind.

First is Catwoman.

This was the more popular of the two prints and I really enjoyed this. I had to fanangle the back shoulder a few times and there are other areas where I would like to tweak a bit but its made and printed so a little to late on that Let me know what you see could or should be different about this.



Finally the Red Sonja.

I really enjoyed this pose that I used it was lots of fun working it thru. The coloring was a bit more laborious on this piece. The backround used to be red with splatters but it made it just TOO graphic feeling. I chose the blue to contrast the red. I think I might of been looking at too much Frank Cho ,for obvious reasons, before starting this piece Enjoy

The poses are a little clunky and catwoman looks a little buff, but over all they are pretty good.The coloring is very nice.

The colouring is awesome on the characters, bu the backgrounds just don't do it for me.

The two separate rows on Catwoman's detract from the figure, making my eyes shift from one row of cat symbols to another. Maybe just put one row behind her?
And IMHO the bg for Sonja would've looked better in green. It would've suited her character more, and enhanced the red more than that shade of blue does.

But other than that, good work, especially on the muscle groups of both!

So I was looking at some of the comments and I figured up a few options for both of these and so I want your opinions on whats best.

I don't think so about Catwoman looking buff. I think its the position. Her leg that is bent I think makes it appear that her upper body has more mass and the fact that her left arm is unable to be seen because her back is arching that her back looks huge.

cool colors. I like the brown background for red sonja the best. It separates the red hair and draws attention to her face which is the focal point.

As for catwoman, her leg closest to us can not be attached to her ass that way. The butt muscles move with legs. You can't kick your leg out to the side or backwards without your butt following. Also her face looks tiny for her head.
