  • Fusion Canon

This is a piece I was doing the couple of days ago, but it's most likely won't be used for anything. The art direction has changed.

This is the first time I attempted to use ArtRage for professional work. I really like the graphite pencil tool it has. It's almost like the real deal.

Cool. Is this from the Megatron Transformers Masterpiece toy?

Actually, the Masterpiece Megatron stayed with the 80's version, the gun mode was a Walther P-38. This is based on the updated version I designed for IDW's first run of the comic, his gun mode was updated to Walther P-99, as the shoulder showed a bit of the P99 engraving, but the scope (canon) was a custom one though.

This is great work...it looks very traditional for digital work. I would love to use artrage and try more ambitious stuff like that...but I only use a poor stock Dell optical mouse. Seriously need an upgrade.

Megatron has to be the biggest Walther I've ever seen. It never really bothered me, but its kinda weird that some of the Transformers can change mass when they transform...like Megatron and Soundwave.
I don't bother making points, because there is no point.

noice. I normally dont like when pc is used to emulate natural effects (which admittedly is weird since it emulates wet media well) but that effect is apt for that matte metal finish. The knob on the side, the perspective looks odd tho like it should be more flat.

Love your painterly stuff over at idw btw. Kudos on those.

he would need one like that to render like that.

                      very cool.

Kae_ae: You are absolutely correct about the perspective.

Huerta: You don't? I thought everyone gets one.
