  • To Spawn Or Not To Spawn?

Having a problem here. I have a Spawn PSF and I finished it yesterday. But I'm not sure which one to go with since I finished it two different ways. Which one looks better to post?

    This one?

    Or this one?

    I'm going no background.

Although, if you did just the green background, without the Spawn faces, that might be cool. With the Spawn faces, it looks to busy to me.

    Nice drawing though.

no background no question, if you had the background there is no way I would vote for you ever. And that's a fact, even if the other ones a stick figure that background is ugh.

it would look best with a hellish background. like inside of a volcano cavern with fire and rocks.

I like the drawing on it's own.

That digital repeating background with the neon green is an eyesore and really over powers your artwork. It's not a good mix and match of technique.

I agree that a drawn background would have been the way to go.

I also say go with no background, the color and resolution of the green background is to high contrast and looks bad.

                      No back ground is better.

no background. the background makes it look like a website some 15 year old would have made in 1998.

I actually don't mind the green...but all the Spawn logo/faces kill it.

                          Try this:

Place one Spawn logo/face in the upper left hand corner, though not so near the edges as you have it now.

Then draw/ink/color a length of chain running from edge to edge along the top of the piece and another running edge to edge along the left hand side. Draw them so the two chains intersect directly between the eyes of the Spawn logo/face.
"Like one, that on a lonesome road
Doth walk in fear and dread,
And having once turned round walks on
And turns no more his head
Because he knows a frightful fiend
                          Doth close behind him tread"

by the way, i was first to suggest an actual background. i still think a hell looking background would suit your spawn the best.
