This is a cleaned up version of a sketch Im doing for the Ten Ton Studios Sketch Challenge. The less polished version will be posted over there because the rules say no Photoshoping!

That's actually what makes it cool.

Yeah, either his head is too small or his neck is too short. Dig the style though.

The right forearm looks off. I think if you put more perspective in the laces of the wrist band, it would fix it.

No comments on the tonal version?

Well I like the inks a ton and I agree with the minor proportion bits but with the tonal it no longer is as dramatic as the black and white also by the backround soldiers being the same tone as King Leonidas you kill your depth that you created with the detail difference. It looks neat but it's not adding to the drama or strength of the piece I feel.

Cool piece...not liking the tones as Toddoss is right u could use a darker color to make the king stand out some...really awesome inks!

Thanks, guys. I'll consider using a different color to punch up the king a bit.

I would suggest red accents to punch up the picture, something Frank Miller often did in his Sin City books.
