#2. It's more dramatic.

Both covers are well rendered but each imply a different mood for the book. I would expect the insides for cover 1 to be equal or at least similar in color palette.

I would expect the insides for Cover 2 to be a dark and brooding story.

Just something to think about. You wouldn't pick up a book with cover 2 and expect to see the same kind of art as cover 1. Whatever cover you decide to go with, make sure your mood/tone matches the rest of the book.

Also, and feel free to ignore this comment, but I think you should spend time on your logo/masthead for the book. It's too small right now and the gradient effect makes it a bit hard to read.
