actually you mean Kurdy (the side-kick of Jeremiah), Indeed he is based on that character,

There's all very unique-looking characters, all with a good deal of personality to them. In fact, just staring at them for a few minutes gives an impression of various abilities that they may have. ...although in that sense the concepts of the creater and those of a generic passer-by such as myself may differ.
