My name is Jack Wallace and I’m a writer from Ohio. I’m working with a small group of artists to get an anthology style book off the ground.
The project is entitled DISPOSABLE FICTION. It is a collection of eleven short stories five to six pages each with the exception of one fifteen page story. The book is done in an anthology style and is intended to be one graphic novel, 75 black and white pages in length. All of the stories are self contained and independent of one another.
I need an artist to help finish the collection, who can ink their own work, to do a five to six page story to help finish the collection.
There is no up front money, but will share the profits equally. I have and will continue to contact publishers about the project.
These are not superhero comics and would be loosely considered fantasy. Most of them take place in the modern world and deal heavily with political, religious and ethical themes. These are stories that work the imagination and wrestle with large themes. For example, a monk identifies that corruption is inherent in the use of power. A young political leader has to gives up here principals to save her family. A schizophrenic homeless man follows his delusion in search of saving a young boy.
If you have any interest, check out my blog, www.frolicandfester.blogspot.com. There, you can check through the scripts and see two of the completed stories. Send me an email at [email protected] with some samples or a URL of your work.
Thanks everyone,
Jack
