I'm a writer and editor based in England who has had work published by Ronin Studios, Pop! Goes The Icon, Alterna Comics and Markosia Enterprises, amongst others. Some of my upcoming projects include a 57-page one-shot from Arcana Studios, a 48-page one-shot from Time Bomb Comics, a full-length graphic novel from Markosia Enterprises and a full-length graphic novel from Com.X.
I'm looking for an artist to draw a 25-page one-shot which I have recently had picked up for publication. The one-shot is a crime story set in England. I'm not looking for any particular style of art, just nothing too "cartoony". An artist who can ink their own pencils would be ideal, although this isn't absolutely necessary.
There is no up-front payment or percentage-of-profits for the artist or myself on this project - payment for the creative team will be in the form of comp copies and exposure from a publisher who make a considerable effort in marketing their books and getting them into the hands of reviewers and readers. Obviously I know that the lack of monetary payment for this position will put off a lot of artists and that's totally understandable, but that's just how it is with this particular project.
