Woodbridge, NJ, April 19th 2011 – Wolfman Productions International announced today that it would make its long-awaited debut into the U.S. independent comic book market, beginning April 20th 2011.
Wolfman Productions Editor and Lead Artist, George Amaru stated, “This is the culmination of years of work to bring Wolfman Productions to the U.S. market. We’ve spent the past few years revamping the format of the book, reworking the publishing schedule and collecting some fantastic stories to make this debut possible and this is only the beginning!”
This debut will be heralded by the release of a collected edition of Wolfman’s flagship anthology, “Havoc 21.” Entitled, “Havoc 21: Omnibus,” this collected edition will feature five of the best stories from the five published issues of the acclaimed anthology.
Wolfman Productions International also announced that its expansion/launch would continue into the greater world-wide market, by making its titles available for download via well-known digital distribution companies, Drive Thru Comics, My Digital Comics and Indy Planet Digital.
Mr. Amaru was happy to include this announcement, saying, “We are pleased to be able to offer our products through these great companies. The digital market has become an invaluable resource to independent publishers, allowing access to the larges audience possible. We knew going in that digital distribution would need to be a key component to our strategy and we couldn’t be happier to be moving forward with such great partners.”
Wolfman Productions will also be offering printed copies of the book through Indy Planet, Drive Thru Comics and My Digital Comics starting almost immediately, with plans to roll out to comic book stores and other retailers throughout the region by the end of the summer.
Eugene J. Byrne formed Wolfman Productions Ireland, in 2000. It’s flagship title, “Havoc 21” made its debut on Irish shelves in 2003. The company grew into a core group of artists & writers who took on various roles to help Byrne achieve their mutual dreams.
In 2008, Byrne decided to expand Wolfman’s reach beyond Ireland and a new team was formed. Publisher/Editor-In-Chief Eugene J. Byrne, Editor and Lead Artist, George Amaru and Consultant/Editor, Peter Beckett currently run the company, from their headquarters in Woodbridge, NJ as well as from satellite offices in Hinsdale, NH and Dublin, Ireland.
