A friend of mine suggested using penciljack to find a great artist and there seem to be a few on here.
I'm looking for an illustrator to work with me on a graphic novel series. I'm a TV Writer who also has experience in journalism and web media and am looking for someone who is interested in collaborating. The comic will be distributed multiplatform (web, print, iPad) and essentially will be like a 'season' of a TV show. While I retain rights to characters and stories, basically I'd be willing to split 50/50 on any money made from sales and advertising (after expenses, of course).
Now that the boring bit is out of the way, the basic wind up is this:
It's a comic called Teenage Satanists and it's about a fundamentalist Satanic cult living in New Mexico. Think 'Jesus Camp', but with devil worshippers instead of crazy Christians. The plot is sort of Godfather-esque and I'd be happy to share more if you're interested.
I think this a great opportunity to create a really fun graphic novel and if this whets you appetite, please send me an email about yourself as well as a few sample images I can look at to [email protected]. I'll reply with more information and we can see if we're a good fit.
