Multiple artists needed for anthology

[CE Anthology]

Greetings –

We are seeking multiple artists for an anthology of five-page stories.

The scripts cover a wide range of styles and genres, but together, they represent a dynamic collection of stories with exciting action and great character development. All scripts were written and work-shopped in the Comics Experience writing course (www.comicsexperience.com), under the guidance of instructor Andy Schmidt, a freelance writer and senior editor at IDW.

In your response, please include the following:

• Links to your portfolio, including sequential art
• Your requested page rate (rates will be negotiated one-on-one between the writers and their individual artists)
• Your timeline for completing a five-page comic

When complete, this anthology will be marketed extensively to editors and publishers. In effect, you will have more than a dozen young aspiring writers actively working to get your story into the hands of industry leaders.

Hi,

My name is Sandra Lanz. I recently came across your add on PencilJack.com and I would like to submit my work for consideration. I have been published as the artist on Saint James Co.'s flagship title "Ex Occultus," for which I did the interior art as well as the concept art, story boarding, layout, design, inks, colors, and cover art. I like to consider myself a jack of all trades.

My rate averages at about $40 per pgae depending on the complexity of the work required, and I could do a 5 page story in two week's time.

I would probably be interested in working on this (probably due to, you know, not knowing what sort of story I'd be working on).

My name is Drew Springer and I have a webcomic called at Small Change.

I don't know what sort of budget you're working with, so this page rate is open to negotiation, but around $50 a page would be good.

I have a full-time job so a five-page story would probably take me 3-6 weeks to complete.
