I am right handed but have worn my wristwatch on my left wrist all my life, but I've heard the left wrist isn't a good place to wear it because it could affect your heart. I don't know how true that is, but which wrist do you guys wear your watch on?

Artists: do you wear your wristwatch on the wrist of your drawing hand?
The biggest mistake people make in life is not trying to make a living at doing what they most enjoy.

I was taught to not wear it on the hand you write with. There's a few reasons.. First, if you slide your wrist along the surface of what you're writing on, you scratch both it and potentially your watch. Second, it presses the clasp against your wrist and can cut off circulation. Third, it makes a noise while you're writing that annoyed the crap out of my dad.I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it. ~Pablo Picasso

Only thing I found:
If you’re right-handed, you probably wear a watch on your left wrist. You might consider switching, however, when you consider the impact that your watch’s battery can have on the health of your heart meridian and, ultimately, on your heart.
What is the Heart Meridian?
The heart is one of the 14 major organs and systems in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Each of these organs has a corresponding meridian, a line of energy flow through the body that becomes strong or weak in tandem with that body part. In healing a weakened organ, the energy of the related meridian is used both to diagnose the health of the body and as a means to begin to strengthen it.
The meridian system has been used and translated into dozens of different energy healing techniques (including energy psychology, Energy Medicine, Touch for Health, Brain Gym, and acupuncture) because the approach is so effective.
Only way it would affect you is if you're such a staunch believer in that sort of stuff, that you'll stress yourself out worrying about your heart.

I'm left handed and I wear it on the right, so either way I'm good haha. There's just no way I'd wear it on my left, I've tried before when I was still in school but it always caught on the edge of desks and stuff.PJ Sketchblog | caperandcrow.tumblr.com | Instagram

I haven't worn a watch in decades. But when I did it was always on my left hand (opposite of my dominant hand).

People wear watches again now as a sort of statement against... not... wearing watches, I think? It's one of those "nobody does this anymore so if I do it I stand out" things, I think.
I wear one if I'm dressing formally, 'cause it looks good, but day-to-day I use my phone. And if I wear one, then yeah... left wrist, the "off" hand.
I've never heard that wearing a watch was supposed to be bad for your heart. What's the basis for that?

I wear mine because I exercise a lot. Having a phone in my pocket is a pain in the ass...I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it. ~Pablo Picasso

We don't even have a home phone anymore.. just my wife and I have cell phones. I don't carry it with me unless I'm leaving the house though. It has voicemail. I don't even like carrying a wallet on me :PI am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it. ~Pablo Picasso

I totally appreciate the awesome power of a cell phone, I just don't like the dependency it creates in people. It's like a umbilical cord.
