it hurts me... that I am one of these people. I can't help it though. If its a comic book, toy from my youth, cartoon from my youth, etc. I just can't NOT see it. I KNEW the first GI Joe movie was going to suck. A friend of mine and I both cringed at the super armor scenes in the trailer. But what did we do? First weekend! Just so we could b!tch and complain about how ICE SUNK at the end of the movie for... well... the rest of our natural lives.

I finally saw this movie on Friday (in what I assume if the last, or very close to the last, weekend it is showing).

Damn, this movie is awesome. Not much else to say.

This movie, after 6 weeks, is still on top. It will be the first film of 2014 to cross the $300M mark domestically. I'm so happy for everyone involved in this one. Marvel is firing on all cylinders. GotG was one hell of a fun ride. Too bad I only get to see it once in IMAX 3D, unless I feel like driving 80 minutes to another town again.

What was great for me was that I took my 6 yr old son who was buzzing about it.really enjoyed it.dropped any fan boy expectations and loved it.it was monumental for him in the same way films of the late 70's early 80's were for me.that was great to see him make a connection with a film compared to the other comic book fare to date.under orders to compile his own mixtape. Hoping new star wars blows his mind!

Finally got to see it, and it's as good as everyone says. Just a really good time at the movies, a successful comics adaption, and a worthy (and logical) next step in the Marvel franchise. Doesn't quite pip the Winter Soldier for me, though I probably found it more entertaining in the short term.

That's just it... WE don't do that, here! Well, those of us on PJ who are decent human beings...

But what happens when we tell other people not to?! They think we're CRAZY!

Or paying into a system that encourages hacks like Michael Bay to make more shitty movies.

I ate McDs today, so I'm guilty of it sometimes too.

Except that McDonalds makes you happy, a guilty pleasure if you will. Nothing good about seeing a shitty movie and realizing you just wasted $10 on it.
