I also don't like this version of Drax. I grew up with the SUPER powered version. While i loved his role in the movie, I was waiting for him to fly or do something well.... Drax like.

    2. The end credit scene was cool, but meh.

    3. Is this another retconning of comic history to meet movie standards about Quill being half human? THe whole time I'm thinking Corsair and the StarJammers are going to show up.

    4. Why no mention of the Supreme Intelligence? OR other KREE people but two?

    5. hokey moments took me out of the film, especially the whole "united we can withstand the infinity gem" schtick.
    1. Rumors are gong around that the destruction of Nova Corps in GoTG will lead them to create the more powerful Nova Corps we all know and love. Maybe with the help of the Power gem? Anyway, I hope we get to see the real Nova.

    3. I have to watch it again, but some other guy noticed that the hologram from the machine that scanned Starlord at the end, had the same colors as Captain Marvel. Blue top/yellow center/red bottom.

Wiki'd Captain Marvel and it would make so much sense: This character is an alien military officer, Captain Mar-Vell of the Kree Imperial Militia, who is sent to observe the planet Earth as it is developing technology to travel into space. Mar-Vell eventually wearies of his superiors' malign intent and allies himself with Earth, and the Kree Empire brands him a traitor. From then on, Mar-Vell fights to protect Earth from all threats.

    4. Wait for it…

yeah, marvel studios knocked it out of the park with this one. i thought it was badass, charming, quirky and fun. loved the visuals and thought it was cool how they implanted the music into the story. I'm gonna go see it again tomorrow..

I really liked how Quill (Star Lord) didn't use violence to solve his problems. Fun movie.

    90+ million opening

Summer box office is receiving a much-needed boost, thanks to a boffo opening by Marvel-Disney’s “Guardians of the Galaxy.” Early Friday afternoon estimates placed the new superhero property’s opening weekend at $90 million — far above recent forecasts in the $70 million range. Starring Chris Pratt, “Guardians” debuted to the highest Thursday opening of the […]

Never would I have ever believed that Guardians of the Galaxy could be on par and even surpass superhero movies like the X-Men, Spider-Man and the Avengers(the individuals, not the team). Thank you, America and earth. I can't wait to see more of the Marvel Universe.

Oh and it occurred to me that I was really glad I didnt see it in 3D. Much of it was WAY too dark for it.

I really enjoyed it but was mildly disappointed that it was clunkier than it ought to have been.
