I'm obviously looking forward to the England game tomorrow - but also think that the argentina v Nigeria game will be pretty special. They're 2 quite powerful and physical sides that get a bit violent when things don't go their way. I'm expecting a few yellow cards at the very least...

Well Uruguay vs. France ends up 0-0. I can live with that. We got a point against last WC's runner-up and thats a win in my book. That leaves Mexico and South Africa who are weaker than France.

There is going to be some great match-ups tomorrow with Brazil vs Portugal and Chile vs Spain. I would love for all 4 of them to advance really. It's followed by a great weekend of knock out round matches. I'm really crossing my fingers for Mexico against Argentina. They Argentinians are playing phenomenal. Kudos to the US for that amazing clutch win against Algeria, damn!

Stole England's easy route too with that goal.

What was even better was Landon Donovan's interview. Normally the player acts graciously and says it was a team effort. Upon the interviewer saying he'd done it, he immediately went into a spiel about how he'd worked his whole life for that moment and he deserved it. Way to respect your team mates.

Good thing is, at least England are playing a big boy match against the old enemy. Its really no fun seeing pedigree nations versus no hopers. They just play negative football. At least with two titans they go at it.
