After the season premiere the resin sculpture of Negan that I was eyeing for some time has skyrocketed in price after being sold out.
I'm not really a Negan fan but that sculpture produced by McFarlane toys is gorgeous. The leather texture of the jacket and the paint apps really set the sculpture apart from the other pop culture sculpts out on the market.
I have seen it next to Gentle Giant's Daryl with Wolves but couldn't justify spending $700 on it. If the sculpture was based on JDM it would lose it's impact because now he's looking much thinner. If he was in the shape he was when he played the Comedian then he would look more like the comic book version Negan and be far more imposing.

I've quite enjoyed it. Lots of tension and character acting. This has been one of my favorite seasons to date.I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it. ~Pablo Picasso

I feel like last night's episode was composed to the Benny Hill theme.
I have no idea what's going on with this show anymore, it's just losing me completely.“Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.” ― Andy Warhol

What I don't get is that it makes a lot of money for AMC but the production value looks second rate. Case in point was Rick at the garbage people location. That CGI was woeful.
What they have is too many characters and I get why they do it. So they can build them up in filler episodes and kill them when they serve their purpose. They are not going to kill merchandise sellers like Daryl. This season was largely filler until it reached where there is a change of power. It was staging to build to this finale.
I really want someone to scream Shivakamini Somakandarkram!, when Shiva goes on a tear identifying who the Saviours and the garbage people are. On a slightly serious note I think the problem is the showrunner, Scott Gimple. It has been all downhill since he took the reigns.

A crazy amount of filler in this series.
And some of the character decisions/logic in the final few episodes was beyond parody. Such a shame, was hoping this season would get back on track.

It took me 4 episodes into this season to see what was happening. For the current episode 5, Gregory's over acting was just so out of place. I actually like JDM in the last episode because he was more nuanced in moments. Having him hamming it up all episode gets tiresome. I still feel he's just too underweight for Negan. His leather jacket looks so loose on his arms.

A crazy amount of lazy writing going on too.Check out Film Grouch!

Im kind of stuck with this show till the end since I've already wasted so much time on it.
They had a funny moment tonight with that guy getting blown up by the rocket launcher hah“Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.” ― Andy Warhol
