Didn't that have more to do with the sky-high salaries of the leads than the production quality of the show itself?

That trailer does look hot, but I'm worried about how much crap the show will take from people who think it's ripping off 28 Days Later. Which WE know is not the case, pretty much the ONLY thing they have in common is the opening plot of the coma/hospital as a means of introducing the main character to the crisis (well, that and a generally dystopian theme), but I know the book caught a lot of flack for that early on, and I expect to hear it all over again now.

I guess you could tell people, "it's like that, but with real zombies"...

Then people need to bring up that 28 Days later is just a rip off of Night of the Living Dead. People need to realize these things have a similar tone and pacing to them. This however looks better. I haven't read the book yet but i'm getting on it shortly. 28 days later followed the age old Zombie movie formula. Show the best and the worst of the humans. Zombies are there for distraction and cool gory kills.
