I never read the comic but I like zombie movies, I just hope it isn't cheesy one-liner comedy show in a horror movie.

the comic is great (one of my faves of all time!!) and darabont is great, so I don't think this will suck.

I want to be at the SDCC so badly:

Well if you read the book you would know that it will suck ass. A laugh a minute, yuck-fest. I mean the jokes work fine in the comic, tying whoopiee cushions to zombies feet, banana peels at the top of the stairwell, a full on reenactment of all the traps from the first two Home Alone movies... but I just don't see it working on the small screen, especially on a tv budget, how do they expect to afford all those cans of paint on the end of ropes?!

Spaz is right, maybe the TV budget will not let this show see it's full potential, I'll watch the first three episodes and give it a shot regardless.

How many episodes are confirmed for this? A friend of mine told me its a miniseries. If thats true budget can go further then a full length series. Or it could be short seasons to keep the budget being able to spread around.

6, but I guess they're already talking about season2, according to reports from comicon.

Its not even a full length series. Why is budget a at question. 6 episodes is great. It keeps it short and no filler.

Supposedly they're based off the first 6 comics or the first arc, but it's not going to be scene for scene like Sin City.

You guys know that the "television budget" for each episode of the last season of Friends was more than most films, right?
