Hangman, to clarify the topic, any subject is fine. The idea is to pay particular attention to the lighting source and rendering the forms of objects through light and shade. In other words, our entries should be examples of depicting light and shade in a work of art. It's a fundamental that is often overlooked that I've been trying to get better at.
And to clarify "light and shade", we should be able to identify parts of the form where the light is hitting, and parts where the light is not hitting. There will probably be cast shadows as well. Often there are mid-tones, but some of that depends on the lighting and the medium. A good guideline would be that we should be able to look at the entry and tell where the light is coming from by how the forms are rendered.
This is not really about being fancy with the lighting and having complicated, multiple light sources (but that's not forbidden). I'll probably pick a single light source and pay special attention to how that light affects the forms in my scene.
Welcome back to Pummel, 1peace. You will be in a three-way match with AgedPepper and Pete Tha Creep unless someone else joins and you split off with them.
You might want to check out the rules of this revived Pummel (It ended in May2016 and restarted January 2017). The main differences are that we compete in one group and that your rank is based entirely on month-to-month performance rather than using overall win/loss record to break rank ties. Currently Pummel has no concept of a Streetfight, but independent matches using Pummel rules are still allowed in this forum for old times sake.
