WOW Plog! I wished you had inked this piece. This is one of those rare cases where I'll choose pencil work over inked. Your composition and mood is great. Character choice is fantastic. You showcase the personalities well.
These are both so good that I want to gouge out my eyes with a pencil. In the end a choice had to be made so went with Plog, if only because the only indication of vampires in srlew's kick ass drawing is that the guys with guns have slightly pointy teeth.
Srlew - you truly brought the bad ass Werewolf, but the vamps could just be security guards. There's very little that screams 'Vampire'! Sick inking though.
Great work, Plog! I agree with Symson, I hope you get the time to ink this one.
Spiderguts- Thanks for the kind words. I completely agree that the Vampires should have had more indications that they were in fact vampires. I guess I was going with the Underworld take on things.
Ra Havok- Thanks for the feedback. I was particularly focusing on creating a believable environment on this one so it's nice to hear that I was somewhat successful. I also appreciate the comment on my style. I've been focusing on getting a grasp on inking since I've been posting on penciljack and it's a slow process for me. I'm still not comfortable working in just black and white. The next hurdle will be traditional. I think it'll add some spontaneity to my work that it is currently lacking.
Veritas- Thanks, man. Glad you dug the Werewolf, and I agree the vampires didn't get enough attention.
We'll this was an easy one on the detail alone. Huge difference! Wonder what it would been like if they had added equal detail. His pencils are so clean he can just drop it in photoshop and mess with the layers and people would be none the wiser! Awesome work!
