Ok, I think that last one at least links to the image, but man, I have no idea how to imbed it in the post. To be clear, again, I’m using an iPad Pro, and for whatever reason, the post icons/options I have are completely different from the desktop site, apparently.

But anyway, sorry to spam the thread here, it’s not a big deal, it’s just a silly last minute sketch, I’m just really frustrated at what I’m beginning to feel is an inability for me to grasp something extremely simple.

I'm glad you got something in, Brandino. When I saw there were no entries earlier I meant to work on something. But I got sidetracked with other projects and forgot.

I noticed you were trying to use links rather than the image controls in your posts.

Here are the steps again:
1. Get a link to the actual image file (something.jpg or something.png, etc.).
2. Click the image button in the post editor (it looks like a mountain range with a sun in the upper left).
3. UNCHECK the "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" box.
4. Paste the image link in the URL field.
5. (optional) Set the width field to something manageable to make large images not take up so much space in the thread (I use 640). Height will automatically adjust relative to the width.

Thanks again, pell, I really appreciate you, man. Unfortunately, the version of the site I’m looking at does not have the mountain sun icon you’re referring to, and I’ve tried every button I do have, to no avail.

Here are a couple of arternatives:

Simplest:

Allows you to set the width:

Note: In the second example, you type the link as "https://i.imgur.com..." The forum reformatted it for this post.
