    Tezuka's Black Jack on Youtube

Any fan of Black Jack? Aparently, I had no idea that they made a TV cartoon series on Black Jack. I am so out of touch.

I knew there was an anime (c'mon man, it's Tezuka! Aren't there at least two adaptations of EVERYTHING he's done?) but I hadn't seen it. I'll have to make the time to check this out and see what the hype's about. I've read some parts of the manga and it's all right, but I never quite glommed onto the hook for whatever reason.

I watched the first episode on my cellphone while feeding the babies. I am a little disappointed to be honest. The pace of the scenes goes from accident to operation to the courtroom to final resolution seem a little rushed, maybe it didn't have enough time because of the "origin" scenes in the beginning, but so far, it doesn't carry the same intensity as the comic. I guess they couldn't show the "operation" on TV either, which I thought was really important part of the comic, and big part of who Tezuka is as a doctor.

I am hoping the rest has better pacing.

Taeko-Chan: I can't remember if I ever read Apollo's Song, I must have read 80-90% of Tezuka's work when I was very little, a lot of his work I read, I didn't know who he was until I was a little bit older.
