The best thing I ever picked up for my DS was an R4 cartridge so that I could load homebrew apps like Colors! and DSlibris. It's funny, but I rarely use it to play games on... I read a lot of books on mine. I love the fact that it feels like a little book when it's turned sideways, easily the best digital reader I've sat down with, and that includes Kindles and other e-readers. I'm just crazy for the format (and apparently I'm not the only one, since there's a couple new e-readers coming out that incorporate the two-screens fold-close format).

Of course, I'm sure it won't be too long before someone works out a way to put a homebrew cartridge on the DSi, hell there's probably already one on the market (R6 or something, I dunno), but in the meantime I'm not in a rush to upgrade.

I do like that larger screen, tho...

This is for old people or just blind people in general. Maybe families that like to play together.

Anyways. Definitely not for me. The resolution is that same and the DS is already kinda crappy looking as far as pixelation goes, so it'll probably end up projecting like garbage.

The hinge on my DS broke two years ago and I haven't bought any new games for it since.

I was thinking about getting a DS XL to replace it but I almost never play video games anymore so I don't think it would be a wise purchase.

I’m wondering would super glue help put that DS back together?

Maybe temporarily. Super glue doesn't seem to hold for very long. I actually taped it together, so it's been held together with a few layers of tape for the last two years. But it doesn't close all the way so dirt gets in there, and the only way to play it is with my right finger holding the top half up so I can't really use the right shoulder button. You also can't hold it vertically or it just closes.

If you no longer can use the warranty then you may have to try something risky like buy a kit that welds plastic together.
