promo postcards for illustrators

hi everyone,
i am planning to get some promo postcards printed like these

I have a few questions.
hope these are not too obvious and silly.

1. On the front of the card you have your main image, name and url.
what should go on the back of the postcard? Is it best to have a short blurb about yourself? a small secondary image?
though most of the back should be blank space right?

2. Do you send the postcard as is? Do send it out in an envelope? -less chance of getting damaged.

I'm not sure about the first question, although personally I would probably include more artwork, and a blurb is always nice.

As for the 2nd, the point of a postcard is to send it open as it (no envelope), just like how we send postcards from vacation spots and stuff! It's easy to ignore something in an envelope... not so much so when it's staring you in the face!
