Here is a sketch I did last night...

    I think that cowboy's screwed.

Seriously, though, this has a lot of energy- it's looking really good!
As for suggestions, something seems a little awkward about the T-Rex's position. I almost want to see his right (our left) leg pushing backward, away from us, to heighten the sense of movement.( You could do the same thing with the other leg, if you remove the obscuring dust clouds?) Right now, he seems to be crouching more than running.
Otherwise, I like this a bunch- the idea is great and the rendering is fantastic- especially for "just" a sketch! Can't wait to see the finished product!

Nice drawing, there is a lot of energy that propels your eye from left to right in your composition. You might make the Dino's tail a little longer and open its mouth a little more, otherwise it looks really good.

if it can't be cadillacs and dinosaurs, then cowboys and dinosaurs makes a nice substitution. Great pic and I like how the t-rexs arms look (I always find those little arms funny).

Chris, this is excellent! The tyrannosaurus' head should be larger maybe, but since this is fantasy, that's not such a big deal. I really like this one a lot.

The energy is very good. The cowboy looks awesome.

    Problems:
The T-rex looks off. I would get some reference and fix the arm head and body. The head especially, t-rexes don't look like that.

I dont like that the horses head is tilted down. it looks strange to me. Do horses do this when they're running really fast?

The cowboy's leg and foot look flat to me. You just might not be done with that area, but it felt worth while to point out.

I like the way you had the gun positioned i nthe first one better. Maybe find something in the middle? His wrist looks like it's strained.

The horse looks a bit more static now that you've rendered all of his legs. In the initial sketch, the dust etc was obscuring his hind legs and it gave a much better sense of movement/speed/urgency.

I also agree with humblerthanyou's comment about the position of the gun arm. Again, that looked more natural in your first sketch. You seem to have moved it round in the 2nd pic so that he's actually aiming at the dino -- but I'm not sure that its important for him to be aiming perfectly. Hmmm.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this image progress. It's such a cool idea
