Pencilling OpticNerve's Artsy-Fartsy Blog of Spam

    Hey there, long-time lurker here.

You'll most likely notice style changes as I've been trying out various styles and techniques for the longest time; hoping that something would come easily and naturally for me.

Anyway, uh... prepare for the spam!

    - The most recent one, courtesy of the Weekly Sketch Group on these forums.
For the longest time I've always wanted to draw Sandman and Death but never really felt like I could do them justice with the style I had going then.

    - This was a topic at another art forum which was Infected Eye.

    - Another topic in that forum which was Depressed Robot. I dubbed him Emobot.

    Arrow

    - This was going to be an avatar pack for the game Sins of a Solar Empire.
    Race: TEC

    - Another one for that SoaSE Avatar pack.
This one was particularly annoying to work on because regardless of what I changed or added, he either looked like a Protoss from Starcraft or a Turian in Mass Effect.
    Race: Vasari

    - Another one for that SoaSE Avatar pack.
    Race: Advent

The following was for my life drawing classes and so, it might have a bit of nudity.

    - A skull study.

    - The instructor said we were to combine animal elements with our model drawings for the day, so I scanned my drawing and added wings in photoshop at home. NSFW

    - Another one of those animal/model hybrid projects. A bit rushed since this was life-sized and at that point, I hated anything with scales. HATED. NSFW

I'd say I love you but...that'd probably come off weird. So I'll just say that this is some really nice stuff, glad you're posting.

Sorry about not replying earlier folks, had a crazy week over here and something was always coming up. Anyway:

Telekinetic Ketchup: I wish I had the guts to actually do that since I have a big empty wall in my bedroom screaming for a painting or drawing. I'm too much of a wuss to really give that a shot though, but maybe one day!

alfred183: Thanks for the compliments! I do have some older drawings which have backgrounds but unfortunately that's one of my weaknesses that I'm trying to work on. I get obsessed with details and usually I spend too long working on backgrounds.

literacysuks1: Hey now, I expect flowers and chocolates at the very least! I'm not that easily wooed. Wooable. Wooered? Uh... you get the idea.

This was done recently for the Weekly Sketch Group 116. Baroness was really tempting to draw, but I figured that I draw enough women as is and I needed to let my inner Shellhead out:
