Whats your favorite action movie?

Heh.... Die Hard came out in 1990. There certainly were action movies before that, as they were a very popular genre of film in the 1970s and 80s.

One thing Die Hard did was to sort of put a fresh spin on the action movie by making Bruce Willis more human and vulnerable. But saying Die Hard invented the action movie is like saying Quentin Tarantino invented kung-fu movies simply because he put a fresh spin on them with Kill Bill.

I didn't know you guys liked the die hard trilogy so much! I just put in the comic book type actoin. I would have put the Bourne trilogy too, dfbovey, I was thinking about it, but I put the die hard trilogy instead.Those movies with John Mclian were real good. It makes me think I should have put more of the gun actoin type.

EDIT: Also, the James Bond trilogy? There's like twenty movies. I don't think you know what the word "trilogy" means.
