I did try different colors for the stained glass but I thought that the color contrasts behind DD hurt the picture more than help it so I decided to leave the color out.

Good job, Deth! I don't mind the plain, brown background. The value placement contrast is pretty balanced.

Weird stuff with DD on Deth's piece. Went with gadgetwk. Nice composition. You're right, gadgetwk, it probably would have benefited from at least being inked.

But I do think competitors should come to an agreement before the different draw offs.

Hmm... my thoughts on this:

I think if people want to do that for street fights, that's fine. I don't think it's necessary though. I've seen people with fantastic line art ruin their pieces with color. So I don't think it's a given that it's an advantage to have color.

I think ranked matches should be anything goes... do the best you can do in the time frame given. If you can do kick ass colors within the time given and that's one of your strengths as an artist, use it to your advantage.
