Reply With Quotei picked up the first issue on my iphone, and enjoyed it, but I haven't seen this comic in my LCS. I'd prefer to pick it up as a graphic novel, since I almost never read singles anymore.
Just picked up and read Atomic Robo. Wow, and I mean wow. Tons of fun, great artwork and wonderful coloring and textures. This is the best comic I've read in years.
Now I normally don't go for typical superhero fare stuff generally, especially the stuff that is put out nowadays.
In any event, I think it's great and can't wait to get the next volume.

All I know is I ordered my copy through Amazon. Can't wait to get it. It was up for an Eisner. The book looks amazing!
No time now for a real review, but I want to heartily recommend this book, especially the second collection. SO good. It's the kind of book I wish I had made.
I actually bought the first arc as singles from Red 5 in San Deigo...still haven't read it!
I did read the first ish on my iPod though. The artwork is excellent, and the colors are top-notch.
The book is fun. Lot's of action. It's not deep, but in terms of tone, imagine a much more light-hearted Hellboy. There is a lot of fighting, a bunch of government program backstory, crazy super villians, but AR is more sci-fi and brighter (literally).

I love me some Atomic Robo. @DJ Kenobi, it's a lighthearted adventure book about an android that was built during the Cold War to fight evil on behalf of the U.S. Some of the stories take place in the past, most in the present. The book never takes itself too seriously, and the humor and action are balanced perfectly. I think it's as funny as Daniel Way's best issues of Deadpool.
What's funny is that Atomic Robo has to be one of the success stories of the iPad/iPhone delivery system. I purchased the first collected edition while waiting at an airport, and it turned me into a fan. I downloaded volumes 2 and 3 right after it. It's worth checking out. The collected editions on the iPhone (6 issues) are $2.99.
