The Thing doing the Thinker : Revisited

[ENTITY]

This is one of the first drawings I did to post on Penciljack. I used it to develop a method to jump from pencils to full color in a very short period of time. It's not meant to be pro level processing, just quick completed work, as I concentrate on pencils above all else. This was a first run on this process, taking maybe 40 minutes total, I'm satisfied with these results.

Well i like the rock pattern ,it diiff. but cool looking.
i think Benji shoud be moer centerd on the komode,it like he falling of the left side.Also why are his shorts so tight around his ankles,thoses babys are huge.
I think the cracks in the toilet are a good idea.
his feet look like you forgot a toe.
And i really like the coloring .great job

Interesting idea, though I'm not bowled over by the execution. I've never understood putting in definition for arms and such with the Thing. He should just be a big lump of rocks. You shouldn't see biceps and stuff.

Thank you much! You are dead on with the balance issue. As for the toes, I always felt that the Thing should only have three toes per foot and two fingers with a thumb for this hands. I guess I Mickey Moused him. Ah well.

They are unstable molecule speedos. I see your point on the style including definition. Most all comic art takes the same liberties. There should be very little muscular definition on any character wearing so much as some spandex, any ripped person wearing tights shows this and the Superman movies are a great example. I catch the intent of your comment though, I struggled with leaving those defining lines in there and if I find the impetus will try drawing a thing that appears more literally to be formed out of piles of rock.

i think the great thing about this drawing is the subtle way the Thing looks like he's kinda constipated. On closer inspection you notice that its his eyes...it's like they're full of unfulfilled ambitions lol

I like it all except the toes, looks like he has twinkle toes, instead set down powerful grounding him for a power dump,i realise the thinker statue has a similar pose though.
